Firefighters made quick work of a blaze at a commercial structure in the east end of St. John’s this afternoon.
Flame and smoke could be seen coming from the building, which is on Sugarloaf Road near the Robin Hood Bay landfill, but firefighters had it under control in relatively short order.
There was a slowdown with traffic as crews had to tap into the hydrants which reduced the number of driving lanes.
