A local sports academy is looking beyond the game to prepare athletes for a sport that they want to make year-round.
Premier Sports Academy is an indoor baseball/softball training facility in St. John’s.
Noah Anderson of the academy says they want to take the sport in a new direction as the opportunities are endless and the exposure is growing.
Anderson says they focus on mindset, the preparation and cool down.
They want to create a culture within the sport to bring people in.
He says it is not all about training or playing the game. It is coaching, mentality and preparing athletes for things beyond the game.
