Tinder-dry conditions are keeping provincial forest fire crews busy of late.
There are so many fires cropping up, officials are having trouble updating the provincial government’s online list of active forest fires.
As of this morning, the website showed at least seven active fires burning in the province, but Provincial Fire Duty Officer Jeff Motty says there are even more than that.
He says a fire was reported in Springdale last night, one is burning near Embree and another at Glovertown which were not on the active fire list as of this morning.
Motty says fire resources are adequate but warns that conditions are very dry, leading to the possibility of more fires.
