University students at Memorial will be resuming studies online this semester even as students in the K-12 system are preparing to go back to class.

Memorial University President Vianne Timmons admits she was nervous about enrolment numbers this year, but says they’re holding steady.

International student numbers are still “up in the air” according to Timmons, and they expect to get a better handle on those figures when classes resume.

Memorial University’s campus is still up and running, but capacity at on-campus residences is limited because they’ll be used for the mandatory 14-day self-isolation for those entering the province from beyond the bubble.
