A local business owner is keeping his attitude upbeat after an expensive piece of property was stolen yesterday
Todd Perrin is co-owner of Mallard Cottage.
He says around 2:30 yesterday afternoon he left the butcher shop to go across the street for a meeting.
Surveillance footage shows that while the butcher was cleaning out the walk-in freezer, someone walked into the store, stole the keys off the back counter, and made off with the truck.
Perrin calls the situation “unfortunate,” noting he had some tools in the back of the vehicle. However, he remains positive despite the situation. He says things could have been a lot worse and that in 2020 it’s not the worst thing happening so he just needs to carry on.
Perrin admits the company has other vehicles they can avail of, but in the short term not having his truck is an inconvenience. Perrin sums up the situation with a simple saying, “that’s it.”
