The pandemic situation has forced the Spirit of Newfoundland to put the historic Masonic Temple on the market.

Kathy Hicks says the pandemic has been brutal for businesses like theirs that rely on audiences to survive.

She says the Spirit of Newfoundland will persevere, but the cost of keeping the building going was too great.

It was a heartbreaking decision to sell the building she calls an “architectural jewel.”

She knows the building is not everyone’s cup of tea, but they’re hoping there is someone out there who will be as “romanced and inspired” as they were when they bought it.
