St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival has announced its lineup for the 31st annual festival.
The majority of this year’s event will be held virtually, from October 14 to the 18.
Films will be available to stream online for the duration of the festival across Canada, with some select screenings available only in Atlantic Canada.
Live watch parties will be held for the films as well, featuring Q&A sessions with directors and leading talent.
The only in-person event will be taking place on October 17, at the Cineplex in Mount Pearl Square, where they will be using all six cinemas in the facility for screenings of the local director, Ruth Lawrence’s debut feature film, Little Orphans.
Other events include the Film Industry Forum—which will include panels, workshops, and pitch sessions—and the presentation of the Visionaries Award to iconic Canadian Director, Deepa Mehta.
Tickets are on sale now, more information can be found on the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival’s website.
