A 20-year-old man is facing numerous charges following an attempted armed robbery at a Stephenville convenience store Sunday night.
RCMP say at approximately 9:15, a man, wearing a back hoodie and face mask entered the Needs Convenience on Carolina Avenue, and demanded cash from the clerk.
The suspect then left on foot, empty-handed.
RCMP issued a social media post with surveillance images of the suspect asking for the public’s help in identifying the man.
Less than an hour later, the suspect, Michael Morgan, was taken into custody with the help of tips from the public.
He’s now facing charges of robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, possession of a dangerous weapon, and breach of probation.
