As she expected, Finance Minister Siobhan Coady’s COVID test has come back negative.
The minister was asked to self-monitor and get a test after a stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Deer Lake nearly two weeks ago.
The news came down shortly after she delivered her first budget in the House of Assembly on Wednesday.
An essential health worker, who had been given clearance to travel from Saskatchewan to Happy Valley-Goose Bay via Deer Lake and who subsequently tested positive for COVID, was staying at the hotel at the same time.
Coady told reporters yesterday she fully expected that her test results would be negative.
