A crew member on a ship that shares docking facilities at Blanc Sablon with the Labrador ferry has tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result, the Qajaq W will not dock at Blanc Sablon until the other vessel—the Bella Desgagnes—has departed. The Quebec vessel makes one weekly stop at Blanc Sablon, on Fridays. Labrador Marine made an early crossing to Blanc Sablon today and had departed on the return trip to St. Barbe before the other vessel arrived in port.
Labrador Marine Inc. says the situation will not impact their operations.
