Trinity Bakeshop is recalling some of its products due to concerns about possible Salmonella contamination related to a recently-recalled batch of eggs.
A recall notice issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the affected products are Custard Cream Bars, Domino Bars, “Nanimo Bars,” Pineapple Delight, and 21 pc Assorted Squares with best before dates ranging from October 25 to November 1, 2020.
The company contacted CFIA to issue a voluntary recall after learning about the Hilly Acres Farm egg recall issued last week. In that case, a number of brands of eggs were recalled in Nova Scotia and in parts of Newfoundland and Labrador due to possible Salmonella.
Trinity Bakeshop indicates the decision to recall the product was precautionary. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the products.
