Marine Atlantic says it is working with the provinces to ensure the right protocols are in place to protect against the potential spread of COVID-19.
Nova Scotia has confirmed community spread in that province. Their chief medical officer warned this is the beginning of Nova Scotia’s second wave.
That has people in this province wondering about travel through Nova Scotia and across the Gulf.
A spokesperson for Marine Atlantic says the service is maintaining passenger limits, isolation measures, and reductions in services.
He says any changes to existing measures would be up to government and its inspectors who are conducting point of entry reviews and screening to determine who can enter the province.
