Happy is awake! The annual VOCM Cares Happy Tree campaign kicked off this morning at the Avalon Mall.
For the 46th year, Happy will help gather gifts to ensure no child or teen is forgotten this holiday season.
The Happy Tree is held in partnership with the Salvation Army. Last year, nearly 2000 families benefitted from gift and food hamper donations.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s event was held virtually through VOCM’s Facebook page – and it even featured a special appearance from Santa himself.
Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at the Avalon Mall Happy Tree, located in the new entrance facing Kenmount road, from now until Christmas eve.
More information about Happy Tree donation centres province-wide, and how you can make monetary donations to the cause can be found here.
