A 34-year-old Twillingate man has been arrested in connection with a string of recent arsons in the Twillingate area.

Adam Rumbolt is charged with three counts of arson in connection with fires that occurred between May and September of 2020.

There were no injuries.

RCMP say a fire that destroyed the historic Ashbourne house on September 11th is not related to those fires and the investigation into that incident is ongoing.

Rumbolt is set to appear in Gander provincial court on February 16.
