Firefighters from two departments fought a structural fire on the Avondale Access Road overnight.
Avondale and Harbour Main were called out to the fire but the neighbouring department was first to leave the scene just before daybreak.
The Avondale Volunteer Fire Department also fought a car fire in nearby Middle Gull Pond overnight.

Firefighters are on the scene of a fire on the Avondale Access Road.
The Avondale Volunteer Fire Department says it is a structural fire but they have no other information at this time.

Meanwhile, Emergency crews are on the scene of a house fire in Cape Broyle at this hour.
Ferryland Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene on the lower road shortly after 5:30 a.m.
