Inclement weather caused the capital city to postponed its New Year’s Eve fireworks.
They were set to be launched at 8 p.m. on New Years Eve, however, high winds resulted in conditions too dangerous to host the display.
The City of St. John’s says the spectacle at Quidi Vidi is instead scheduled to go ahead this evening at 8 p.m.—weather permitting.
We’re disappointed to announce that, due to the high winds, the fireworks tonight at Quidi Vidi Lake are postponed to Jan. 1 at 8pm, weather permitting.
