One of the largest towns in the province is celebrating a significant milestone this year.
2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the incorporation of the town of Paradise.
Despite a veil of uncertainty hanging over all municipalities because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the town is still planning to hold celebratory events to mark the anniversary.
Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Laurie says despite the public health situation, celebrations are planned throughout the coming year.
There will be events, programs and initiatives throughout the year. As well, the town will be striking an anniversary committee, made up of residents, to organize the year.
