A former St. John’s city councillor has joined the board of directors of the St. John’s Status of Women Council.

Hope Jamieson stepped down from her role on council last July.

In a statement posted to Twitter, the organization welcomed Jamieson, saying she has a wealth of experience behind her.

Jamieson says it’s an honour to be on the board and doing what she calls “wonderful” work in the community.
