Police are asking for the public’s help in relation to the investigation into two armed robberies in St. John’s.
Police were called to the area of St. Clare’s Hospital around 4:00 p.m. Monday after two men reportedly approached a vehicle with a firearm, and told the occupant to get out. They left the area in the vehicle.
A short time later police received a report of an armed robbery at a bank in the Churchill Square area. Two men entered the bank and approached the teller, brandishing a weapon described as a handgun.
The pair fled the area with cash and were last seen running to a blue vehicle in the area of Linden Place. The stolen vehicle was located in the centre city area around noon today.
