A 41-year-old man has been arrested for impaired driving after the vehicle he was driving struck a house in Bay Roberts.
RCMP were called to Water Street at around 5 p.m. Saturday after the Honda Civic hit the home, then collided head-on with another vehicle and came to a stop.
The driver then tried to flee the area.
Breath samples show that the man was two-and-a-half times the legal limit.
His driver’s licence was suspended and his vehicle was seized and impounded.
The man was released from custody and will appear in court in March, 2021.
