MAX Fitness on New Cove Road has been told there is no need to cancel fitness classes at its facility after a positive case was traced back to a small group class earlier this month.

MAX says the class, on January 14th, involved six members plus one instructor. All those in contact with the case are taking the necessary and recommended precautions including testing, isolation and contact tracing. The case has been isolated to the New Cove location and has not affected any other programming.

MAX says public health officials have advised them that there is no need for any class cancellations or changes to their operations, and they will continue stringent sanitization and cleaning protocols and procedures, while strictly adhering to social distancing and mask-wearing policies.
