A program designed to help address homelessness in indigenous communities has been extended through 2024.

The Benoit First Nation’s “Reaching Home” program helps Mi’kmaq people who are homeless, couch surfing, or who have a history of trouble finding or maintaining housing.

The program helps connect people with affordable housing, health services, training and employment.
