There’s a snowmaker coming in or the latter part of the weekend, touching down in metro on Sunday.
Environment Canada doesn’t yet have the full picture, but Rodney Barney, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, says it looks like 10-15 cm for the Avalon Peninsula, Burin Peninsula, and Clarenville area at the moment. He says there is potential for higher amounts.
It will be blustery as well.
Winds will be up causing blowing snow, with snow possibly turn to rain on the southern parts of the Avalon but probably not in metro.
Barney says if you’re looking to get outdoors this weekend, Saturday is the day—but it will be a bit chilly.
