Despite restrictions under Alert Level 5, Stella’s Circle managed to help twelve clients find homes during the latest outbreak.

That’s just one of the many services provided by the social justice organization to some of the city’s most vulnerable citizens.

Program coordinator with the Housing Services Division of Stella’s Circle, Melanie Hickey, is pleased with the work they’ve managed to do during a difficult time.

“You can’t address any goals when you don’t have a safe, secure and stable housing arrangement,” says Hickey as “it’s essential to well-being.” She thinks it’s “remarkable” that they’ve been able to respond to the homeless population despite public health restrictions.
