The Chair of the Premier’s Economic Recovery Team is commenting publicly for the first time on the departure of Mary Shortall from that team.
On Saturday, Moya Greene announced that the interim report from the group would be delayed by about six weeks.
At the beginning of January, Federation of Labour President Mary Shortall resigned from the team. Not much more is known about her reasoning, as all members signed confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
Greene says Shortall’s departure was disappointing but she says she has a “huge amount of respect” for Shortall and was happy to have her perspectives available in the short time she was with the team.
