Metrobus and GoBus services resumed at 4:00 this afternoon.
About 15 cm has fallen in metro but things began to improve by mid-afternoon with a decent evening in store.
The Robin Hood Bay landfill is now closed for residential use for the rest of the day. The commercial side remains open but is being evaluated on a regular basis. Provincial government offices in metro and Clarenville remaining closed for the day.

The metro region is in for a messy few hours with about 15 cm expected to fall along with high winds in the 70-80 km/h range.
Wanda Batten, a Meteorologist with Environment Canada says it will be an intense and blustery six hours or so in metro.
Strong winds will continue throughout the morning and into the afternoon with gusts up to 100 km/h in some areas.
The snow moves out and the winds ease up by early this afternoon.
In the meantime, Metrobus came off the roads in metro as of 10:00 with an update on the rest of the day at 1:00 p.m.
Given the winter storm conditions today across many areas of the Province, there may be disruptions to the schedule of virtual classes. There are some teachers who must work from the school but who may not be able to travel to school today. Individual schools and/or teachers will advise families as necessary.
There are power outages on parts of the west coast this morning. Newfoundland Power is investigating.
Marine Atlantic and the ferry across the Strait of Belle Isle have cancelled their morning runs.
Batten says it’s a fast-moving storm and says things have already begun to look up on the southwest coast. Winds peaked at 150 km/h in the Wreckhouse last night.
It’s also stormy in southern and central Labrador.
