There are five new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province today.
Four of those are in the Eastern Health Region; One case is in their 40s, another in their 50s, and two are above the age of 70.
The fifth new case of the virus is in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region and is a worker at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony. No patients at the hospital have been identified as close contacts at this time.
Nine people are in the hospital, five of whom are in intensive care.
There have been 38 new recoveries since yesterday; 36 in Eastern Health, one in Central, and one in Western. As a result, there are now 203 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
To date, over 113,000 people have been tested.
