Investigations are underway following reports of damage caused by gunshots to fibre optic cable lines.

Ferryland RCMP received two complaints March 3 from different service providers of damage caused in the area of Middle Pond near Bay Bulls.

Meanwhile back on February 22, similar damage was reported at two separate locations in the area of Hawk Hill near Holyrood. Fibre optic lines that were above ground were damaged by gunshots and occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. that morning.
