Gas prices are predicted to increase again this week, and there is potential for an even bigger increase later this month.
The Consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices has released two potential numbers for this week’s changes.
The first is a 2.3 cent increase and the second is a 5.6 cent increase.
The latter is the price of summer gasoline, but the group does not know if that product is on the market yet. However, it is believed that those prices will come into effect at the end of the month.
Those two increases would push the price of gas in metro near an all-time high of close to $1.50 per litre.
Diesel, heating, and stove oils are all expected to go up this week as well—by about 2.2 cents per litre.
