The town of Salmon Cove will be able to continue with council business despite the recent resignation of three town councillors.
The Department of Environment, Climate Change and Municipalities has been in regular contact with the town on the matter, and met with the town on Monday.
The department says its role is to help clarify requirements that must be met under the Municipalities Act, and outline the roles and responsibilities of councillors and staff.
Despite the resignations, the town does have a quorum to continue to carry out town business.
