A St. John’s man recently convicted of threatening to kill a police officer outside RNC headquarters has been released from jail pending new charges.
24-year-old David Noftall was sentenced to four months after showing up at the police station armed with a knife in the early-morning hours of October 29, 2019.
He was convicted on December 19 of the same year. Exactly one year later, this past December 19, Noftall was charged with threatening someone else, as well as breaching his probation.
Prior to making bail yesterday, he told the court he’ll be getting a new lawyer and staying with his grandmother until his next court appearance on April 12.
