The federal Stop Climate Change Party is being de-registered after failing to file an auditor’s report related to the last general election.
Federal Chief Electoral Officer Stephane Perrault says the leader of the party has been informed that it will be deregistered effective Wednesday, March 31st.
The party will not longer be able to issue tax receipts for contributions received after March 31st and is no longer entitled to any of the benefits of a registered party under the Act, including the use of broadcasting time.
