A 35-year-old Stephenville woman has been arrested and charged following a reported home invasion earlier this week in Stephenville Crossing.
RCMP were called around 2:30 Wednesday morning after a woman reported she was robbed and assaulted by a woman who was known to her.
She claimed the woman entered her home and threatened to kill her while holding a knife to her throat. She suffered minor injuries after she was allegedly choked.
The victim claimed that the accused stole an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs from the house before fleeing the scene.
Shanna Skinner was arrested a short time later by RCMP and charged with robbery, assault with a weapon, choking, uttering threats, being unlawfully in a dwelling, and two breaches of court orders.
Skinner was remanded to custody pending her next court appearance March 22.
