Bay Roberts RCMP are on the lookout for a man they believe responsible for the theft of liquor from a local NLC earlier this week.

On Monday, a man reportedly entered the Beaver Plaza Mall NLC and stashed three 60-ounce bottles of rum in his jacket. He left the store without paying, and drove away in a red Toyota Corolla.

Less than an hour later, a man entered the same NLC location and acted in a “suspicious manner” in a different part of the store. Upon noticing that he was being watched, staff say that the man placed three bottles of vodka back on the shelf from inside his jacket.

Upon review of surveillance footage, police determined that while he was wearing a different mask and some different clothes, the same man was involved in both incidents.
