By now, most residents of Inuit communities on the north coast of Labrador have received both doses of the Moderna COVID vaccine.
The Nunatsiavut Government is reporting that 78 per cent of all residents in five communities on the north coast 18 years of age or older who are eligible for the vaccine have received their second dose. The highest vaccination rates are in Rigolet, where just over 99 per cent of all eligible residents have received their first dose and nearly 96 per cent have received the second dose.
The Nunatsiavut Government is working to ensure that the remainder of those who have not yet received their second dose get it as quickly as possible.
