Eight new names have been inscribed on the Burin Peninsula Soccer Association’s Hall of Fame, under the player category.
The association announced the eight names today:
- Blair Aylward of St. Lawrence
- Eugene Banfield of St. Lawrence
- Noel Doyle of St. Lawrence
- Darin Dunphy of St. Lawrence
- the late Doug Edwards of Lawn
- Richard Kelly of St. Lawrence
- Gerard Pickett of Marystown
- Wade Roul of Lawn
As well, for the first time, the BPSA announced that it will honour a ‘Soccer Association of Distinction.’
It recognized the French Football Federation (FFF), which operations the St. Pierre and Miquelon Soccer League, for its work in growing the soccer community along with the cultural ties and interests of its neighbours along the Burin Peninsula.
