Warm temperatures again today mean that the snow is taking a cutting, so much so that it’s even become noticeable from space.
Temperatures in the metro region reached the double digits again today.
Meteorologist Rodney Barney tweeted out a satellite image showing the white outline of the Burin and Avalon peninsulas starting to become less defined as the snow retreats.
Although today’s high won’t be repeated for the rest of the week, daytime temperatures on the Avalon are expected to remain above freezing until Saturday, with some cooler weather coming for the weekend.
