There are four active cases of Newfoundland and Labrador with one new confirmed case reported today.
The case, involving a man in the Central Health region is related to domestic travel. Contact tracing is underway.
Public Health is advising rotational workers about identified COVID outbreaks at several worksites in Alberta. They include the Michels Canada worksite, the RCC Simonette Lodge, and the Tourmaline Oil Nabors site.
Rotational workers with those projects who have returned to Newfoundland and Labrador in the last 14 days must self-isolate and physically distance away from household members and call 811 to arrange for testing. Those workers must now complete the full 14-day self-isolation period regardless of test results.
Today’s update is the last for the next few days. The Department of Health and Community Services will not be releasing updated numbers through the long holiday weekend and will provide all the weekend stats on Monday.
