Police in Central Newfoundland are investigating brazen acts of arson and stolen gas over the past few days
RCMP say they received multiple complaints from people who say holes were drilled into the gas tanks of their vehicles and the fuel removed.
It happened in the New Bay Road area of Grand Falls-Windsor during the late-night and early-morning hours of this past weekend.
Two vehicles were also set on fire and destroyed, while three others were damaged by heat from the fires.
Police are asking people in the area to check their trail cameras and home security footage in the hopes of catching the criminals in the act.
