St. John’s Sports and Entertainment has added two new members to its board of directors.

Council approved the appointments of Stephen Dinn and Glenn Normore during yesterday’s public meeting.

Fifteen applications were received to fill perceived gaps in skills on the board. Normore and Dinn are two of six members of the community at large. There are also three city staff and two from Destination St. John’s on the board.

Normore is well known for his legwork and experience both on and off the basketball court.

In 2011, he was inducted into the Sport NL Hall of Fame as both an athlete and a builder.

Dinn brings expertise from the aviation and associated industries as a vice-president with PAL Aerospace.

Board members receive no compensation for their work.
