NDP Leader Alison Coffin says now is not the time to be putting up added challenges and roadblocks.
Coffin was responding to the Premier’s new cabinet unveiled yesterday which includes two new ministers and a number of ministers who have shuffled portfolios.
She says the province is in one of the most tumultuous and dire times in social and economic history in Newfoundland and Labrador and that “this is not the time go putting up roadblocks and making it harder for anyone to do their job.”
Coffin also questioned the expansion of the size of the cabinet from 14 to 16 ministers. “I doubt very much that’s coming out of the Greene Report now is it?” she asks.
