Much of the region has endured a steady diet of RDF since Easter Sunday with no end in sight until next week.
Meteorologist Ian Hubbard of the Environment Canada says the onshore northeasterly flow is pushing the fog and moisture across the land as far as central Newfoundland.
He says the flow is going to stay in the same direction off the water and to expect more rain on Monday. Hubbard says there won’t be an improvement probably until mid-week at the best.
The Burin Peninsula had some sunshine this week and is enjoying at least dry weather the next couple of days. The winds on the south coast are coming off the land which means less of the dreary weather.
