Rowing is returning to Quidi Vidi Lake, but there are no decisions just yet on whether or not the annual Royal St. John’s Regatta will be going ahead with vendors on-site this August.

Practice rowing will resume starting Monday, May 3 at 7:30 a.m. as part of Phase One of the Committee’s Return to Play plan.
It will be the first time rowing will take place on the lake in over a year.
Bradley Power of the @StJohnsRegatta says rowers will be on the pond this summer.

As for whether or not the Regatta will go ahead in August, that remains to be seen.
Racing is part of Phase 2 of their plan and a Regatta with vendors is Phase 3. Power says while he’s optimistic, anything can change between now and August.
