Police have arrested a North West Brook man for impaired driving Thursday night.
At around 10:20 p.m., Clarenville RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision near Queen’s Cove.
Officers suspected one of the drivers, a 54-year-old man, was impaired by alcohol and issued a roadside breath test. The man failed the test and was arrested for impaired driving.
He was transported to the detachment and provided breath samples that were twice the legal limit.
The occupants of the other vehicle were transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The man’s license was seized and his vehicle was impounded. He was released from custody and is set to appear in court at a later date.
