Over $4.9-million in joint federal, provincial and municipal money has been announced for infrastructure projects in the St. John’s metro region.
The money will go towards 15 projects including window replacements at Prince of Wales Collegiate, Gonzaga High School, and Holy Trinity High in Torbay, HVAC and accessibility upgrades in the Supreme Court Building, and an upgrade to the electronic fare collection system for Metrobus and GoBus.
The provincial minister of transportation and infrastructure, Elvis Loveless believes the money shows that all three levels of government are listening to the needs of people.
He believes they have a “formula for success” and says they will work to continue that trend.
