A little boy in Portugal Cove-St. Philips got an unexpected surprise when members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary recently paid him a visit.
His mom Kim says Carter Churchill has always had a huge interest in policing and was delighted when members knocked on his door last weekend.
She tells VOCM News Carter saw the patrol cars pull into the driveway and excitedly made his way to the front door to greet them.
10-year-old Carter is deaf and Kim Churchill says it was a moving experience to see Carter teaching the officers how to sign.
Carter enthusiastically showed the officers how to sign “police officer”.
