The Town of Centreville-Wareham-Trinity is continuing with plans to name a popular lookout in Blacks Brook Park after the province’s Chief Medical of Health.
Dr.Janice Fitzgerald is originally from the community and is being honoured for her work during the pandemic. The lookout is just above her childhood home.
The lookout will be named the “Dr. Fitzgerald Hold Fast Lookout”, something that Mayor Sam Gibbons calls appropriate.
He says it’s an apt name as Fitzgerald and her team have looked out for the province.
There is still work to be done on the project as the town is developing a committee, but their hoping to have it ready by August.
