The provincial government has introduced two interim supply bills totaling nearly $3.5-billion.
The amount is based on allocations approved during last year’s budget, unanimously approved by the House of Assembly back in November.
According to government, approval of the first bill will serve to confirm the amount issued by special warrant for the two-month period from April 1 to May 31.
The second is required to be passed in the Legislature to continue ongoing operations, including payroll, income support, and expenditure obligations, for the period from June 1 to July 31 while the provincial budget is introduced, debated, and approved.
