The MHA for Torngat Mountains questioned John Haggie on the situation recently faced by an ailing Howard Russell. Russell waited 36 hours for a medevac to hospital and is now on life support at the Health Sciences Centre.

She says she takes the situation very seriously but would not discuss the situation faced by an individual patient.
The Opposition critic for Indigenous Affairs, Lela Evans, demanded answers of Health Minister John Haggie in the House of Assembly.
Minister Haggie admits the situation is a distressing one and says Labrador-Grenfell has been in direct contact with the family and he has instructed the health authority to conduct a full and vigorous quality assurance review under the Patient Safety Act.
