Glovertown RCMP are issuing a public warning due to a reported attempt of child luring in Hare Bay on Monday afternoon.

At around 3:00, two young girls were reportedly approached by a man near the bus station on Saunders Road. The girls were offered candy if they got into his vehicle, and were told that he would take them to a “nice place.”

According to police, the girls refused and the man drove away.

The suspect is described as around six feet tall with dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, and freckles. He was clean-shaven and appeared to be in his 30s. He was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

The vehicle is described as a dark blue four-door car with a crack in the rear driver-side window.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
